Our grounds are designed with you in mind — to enjoy the temperate wine country weather! Daytime temperatures are warm, with low humidity, and even the evenings between May and November are mild enough to sit outside without heaters.
Our vegetable gardens provide much of the produce for our guest’s breakfasts and are the site of year-round weekend workshops on vegetable gardening.
A wisteria-covered forty-foot veranda wraps around the front and side of the house, providing a cool spot for a good book or an afternoon nap.
There is a vintage gazebo for that evening glass of wine, a large shaded patio where you can picnic or watch the fish in the koi ponds, and a rose-covered wrought iron pavilion with additional seating for groups.
The mediterranean courtyard and demonstration vineyard in the front of the Inn invite you to wander through the garden or sit and observe the birds and butterflies. It’s magical.
“I LOVE Kathleen and Maddie! They are SO welcoming and have made the place so very comfy. From the delicious cookies set out for you day or night to the delicious breakfast they offer, one is made to feel well cared for. I loved the beverage porch upstairs that caters to the late night glass of water, tea, or hot cocoa, compete with a Keurig, an ice maker and a baby fridge. Our room was nicely appointed (Tower room) and the bathroom was recently redone. The location is central to downtown, close to nice restaurants and the movie theater. We did not do the wine and food pairing this time, but heard great things about it, and purchased some wines to try at a later date. The garden has a lovely gazebo, a Coi pond, chickens and they are busily re-doing the raised bed for growing. I would return and definitely recommend a visit for romance, local wine tasting or hiking!”
